Join internationally renowned Buddhist teacher, Glen Svensson, to explore the profound theory and practice of vipashyana meditation.
About This Course
In this comprehensive four-day course, Glen Svensson introduces the transformative practice of vipashyana, or insight meditation, which aims to cultivate deep understanding and realisation of the true nature of existence.
Through 12 enlightening sessions, we journey into the core aspects of vipashyana from the Buddhist tradition. The course begins by examining the Three Marks of Existence: impermanence, suffering, and not-self. We then progress to an in-depth exploration of the View of Emptiness, including an introduction to the concept, understanding emptiness itself, and examining the boundaries of perception.
On the third day, we focus on the Emptiness of Person, starting with a foundational introduction, followed by a detailed look at the Four Steps of insight and the stages of progress in this profound practice. Finally, the fourth day is dedicated to understanding the Nature of Mind, providing strategies for short-term practice and summarising the overall journey of vipashyana meditation.
Throughout the course, you will learn essential qualities to cultivate during meditation, the tools to employ, and how to recognise and overcome common obstacles. Each session includes both teaching and guided meditation, offering you the opportunity to integrate theory with practical experience.
This programme is designed to be accessible and beneficial for both newcomers to vipashyana and those who are already experienced in this insightful practice.
